Office of the Chief Operations Officer

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) oversees and coordinates all county operational matters, and leads cross-organizational achievement of strategic objectives as defined by the County Executive.

The COO reports to the County Executive, is a member of the County Executive’s Cabinet and liaison with elected officials. The COO also collaborates with agency administrators and department heads on program and policy issues.

The COO has broad responsibilities for the strategic and financial planning for the County of Sacramento.
